Dianne and Dave Tydings, together with Barb Dahlgren, established Dianne's Inc. They opened the doors of Dianne's Restaurant December 21, 1989, Winter Solstice.
From 1979 to 1981, Dianne established herself at the Original Cauldron Restaurant at Fourth and G Street. She sold the restaurant when her son, Greg was born. Dianne used this time to enhance her passion for serving homemade food.
Barb, the original Kitchen Manager, and Dianne combined their culinary skills by producing breads, soups, entrees and desserts that had begun at the Original Cauldron.
Throughout their 21 years of business, Dianne's Restaurant has earned a reputation for quality, service and community involvement. They've worked with Bean's Cafe, YWCA and AWAIC, to name a few. It has been their privilege to work with a diverse group of businesses, corporations, churches and non-profits, catering breakfasts, lunches, dinners and special events.
The building where the restaurant is was originally the Hunt Building. When they moved in it was the Enserch Center, then the Bank of America Building and now the Robert Atwood Building. The Robert Atwood Building is a state building, home of the Governor's office.
Dianne's serves the tenants of the Robert Atwood Building, surrounding Anchorage downtown neighbors, businesses and corporations throughout the area.
Dianne's offers a medley of morning, afternoon and business lunch specials through their updated web site. The restaurant's location is bright and cheery and has free WIFI for their customers.
